Michael Ruff

Michael Ruff is an internationally known singer/songwriter, pianist/arranger, and producer with diverse musical interests. Michael has toured, played with or had songs recorded by Chaka Kahn, David Sanborn, Rickie Lee Jones, Lionel Richie, Bonnie Raitt, Huey Lewis, Brenda Russell, Roberta Flack, Karla Bonoff, Jose Feliciano, Laura Branigan, James Cotton, John Lee Hooker, The Winans, Al Jarreau, Kal David, Gerald Albright, Michael Paulo, and Carl Anderson. He has recently produced CDs for Rob Mehl, Amy Gilliom and Chris Casale.

Ken Emerson

Ken Emerson is one of the world's most highly regarded traditional Hawaiian slack key & steel guitarists living today. Emerson's unique playing style reflects the Hawaiian guitar's grassroots origins of over a century ago. For over 30 years Emerson has helped lead the way in resurrecting the traditions of vintage Hawaiian music.

Leilani Rivera Bond

Leilani Rivera Bond began entertaining as a little girl, performing nightly with her father Larry Rivera and family at the Coco Palms Resort on Kaua`i. She began hula lessons at an early age, then created and taught hula to other Coco Palms performers from age 13. She began teaching the hula about 20 years ago as she began raising her children, and Halau Hula o Leilani now has many keiki and adult students.

Kirby Keough

Part Hawaiian and raised on Oahu, Kirby has been Kaua`i's first call stringed instrument session man for years, playing on GRAMMY and Na Hoku Hanohanmo nominated albums for Amy Hanaiali`i Gilliom, Leilani Rivera Bond, Inner Session, Moonbows for Christmas, and many others.

Allan Thomas

Allan Thomas got his start writing, performing and recording in the coffee houses of New York in the early 70's. After some years traveling and working in the west coast scene, he moved to Kaua`i in the 80's and has made surfing and music his life since. His songs have been covered by The Beamer Brothers, The Hawaiian Style Band, Norman Kaawa Soloman and others. Check out his latest album, Making Up For Lost Time

Rob Mehl

Growing up on the beaches of California and Hawaii was enough to pump ocean rhythms and white sand into Rob Mehl's soul. The San Diego-based singer/songwriter and surfer has been playing and singing about them for years. Accompanying himself on guitar and ukulele, his music displays a lifetime love affair with the sea and pays tribute to all the artists, writers, dreamers, adventurers, and watermen and women who have inspired him over the years. Recorded on Kaua`i in September 2005, Could You Be More Pacific? kisses the shores of Hawaii, California and Mexico, with Michael Ruff producing and a cast of all-stars playing.

Clyde Letreta

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Clyde Letreta is Hawaii born and raised, and his love for the islands shows in all his work. Clyde has performed for both visitors and locals at his beloved Kalapaki Bay on Kauai for years. With the release of his debut album, Changing Hearts, his songs are now heard throughout the Islands and around the world. Made on Kauai with kokua from producer/arranger Kalapana's Malani Bilyeu and a host of talented Kauai players.

Photographer Kerry Oda amazes us with his masterful photography, as we are entertained by today's slack key masters, including Barry Flanagan, Keola Beamer, Ken Emerson, Dennis Kamakahi, John Keawe, Makana, Jeff Peterson, Joanie Komatsu, Doug & Sandy McMaster, and Cindy Combs, with oli by Kuuipo Kumakahi.

Bob Bangerter

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Bob Bangerter lives on the isle of Maui. He has released four jazz albums, three of which have garnered four Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominations. His albums feature some great players from the Islands, including Michael Ruff.
